3.1 Use all 4 ways to communicate
3.1.1 Prepare and send communications
In the mobile app on your phone or tablet, you will need to:
1. Tap the name of your clock.
2. Tap the “+” at the bottom of the screen.
3. Select the type of communication you want to create.
4. Complete the sections as desired, then save the communication.
Well done, you saved your first communication on the mobile app! It will appear at the desired time and for the desired duration. Keep reading to use all four different ways to communicate with your loved one.
3.1.2 🔔 Reminder
Reminders are used to remind your loved one of a task or event (eg, taking their medication). A reminder will appear on the clock at the scheduled time. A ringtone will play repeatedly while the reminder is displayed to draw attention. You can customize the ringtone, display duration, and reminder frequency.
Pressing the Understood button is optional. If your loved one does not press Understood, the reminder will close automatically once its display time has elapsed.
Optional: your loved one can hear a voice saying what is displayed on the screen
Optional: asking for a confirmation request
A question asking to confirm the task execution will appear a few minutes after the reminder. You can customize the delay between the initial reminder and this second display. The display duration is the same as the initial reminder.
You will see the answer given by your loved one in your mobile app. If your loved one does not press “Yes” or “No”, the confirmation request will close automatically once its display time is elapsed.
3.1.3 📨 Message
You can communicate with your loved one using messages. A message is displayed on the clock at the programmed time. A ringtone is played to draw attention. You can customize the ringtone and message frequency.
To view the message, your loved one must tap Read.
Once opened, your loved one can close the message by tapping Close. Otherwise, the message will close automatically after a few minutes.
If your loved one did not press Read, the enveloppe icon will automatically disappear after 15 minutes.
3.1.4 📅 Event
Events are displayed as blue post-its on the right to remind your loved one of an upcoming event. A short ringtone is played when an event is displayed (only between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m.) Once the event is over, the post-it will be removed automatically.
When the event takes place in less than an hour, a countdown will appear on the post-it (eg, In 59 minutes).
If there is a second event programmed later during the day, it will be displayed in a smaller size, under the first one. A maximum of two events can be displayed at a time.
3.1.5 🗒️ Note
A note is a short message that appears as a yellow post-it on the right and remains displayed for the programmed duration (eg, start at 5 p.m. and end at 6 p.m.) A short ringtone is played when a note is displayed (only between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m.).
Only one note can be displayed at a time. However, a note can be displayed at the same time as an event.
Great! Now you know the four different ways you can communicate with your loved one. We encourage you to try out the different options.
3.1.6 How to modify or delete a communication
To modify or delete a communication, tap on it. At the end of the page, tap on Delete, Modify, or Cancel.
Note: if you delete a recurring communication, you will be prompted with the choice to delete only the selected communication, or all the planned repetitions. The same applies to modifications.
