How it all started
Temporal orientation is one of the first abilities to be affected in people living with cognitive impairment. To alleviate this challenge, simplified calendar clocks were created. While caregivers appreciated the existing options on the market, they expressed a need for clocks that allowed for remote management and interaction with their loved ones. Additionally, there was a significant gap in technology that truly supported older adults aging in place. Most solutions focused solely on monitoring, rather than compensating for cognitive impairments to foster greater independence.
Determined to fill this gap, we created the Idem Smart Clock—the first product in our portfolio designed not just to monitor, but to compensate for cognitive challenges through technology, allowing older adults to be more independent and age at home with dignity.
